Our thoughts are with all of our friends and associates who are affected by Hurricane Harvey. We pray that you are all safe and with your families and loved ones.
From the Bighorn
We are having a very good two weeks on the Bighorn River, Montana. The mornings are full of tricos with dry fly fishing for about 4 hours each day. Afternoons are slower with a few fish caught on nymphs and streamers,
but the tricos are the game here this month. After a season of high water, the river is now at 3,000 fps, a perfect water level for wade fishing and drifting. Randy St. John shared a couple photos here, and we're seeing lots of fish in this size range everyday. Think about joining us in 2018.
Oh, and we even went for carp on trico dries one morning. Great fun. More on this next week.
Looking for a Fly Girl
In February, 2018, we'll be on the South Island of New Zealand visiting two premier fishing lodges, Riverview and Owen River Lodge. As we all know, New Zealand offers sight fishing to large browns in gin-clear water like no where else in the world. We have a couple rooms left and if New Zealand is on your bucket list, we invite you to review our itinerary. This is a very exceptional fishing trip, one you will never forget.
With that said, we are looking for a woman angler to join a woman client and good friend of ours from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. If that might be you, please contact us for details. 877-278-5638.
Fall Guiding
We've still got guiding days available for the fall season here in Pennsylvania. October is one of the prettiest months of the year in the northeast. Fishing is good, fish are in great shape from a season of good hatches and good water, and we all know what's coming..... Get out and enjoy it while you can!
