Yesterday was our last day of fishing. We will soon load up the ATVs for our trip out of the jungle to the Indian village where we will meet our little plan plane back to Santa Cruz. Overnight there tonight, fly to Miami tomorrow, overnight in Miami tomorrow night, and home on Saturday.
I am still fighting with the Wordpress app from my iPad. Seems like a lot of people are having problems with it. It makes me anxious to get home, launch the new web site and blog. Enough of Wordpress for me.
We have had an incredible time. This is a wild place and a wild river. It's amazing to see the dorado crashing into the sabalo with fish and bait flying everywhere. It's very much like a bluefish/striper blitz on the east coast.
Our guides have been amazing too. It's very interesting too see how well they work with the Indian boatmen. Everyone helps each other whether it's pushing and pulling the heavy dug-out canoes up through the rapids, spotting dorado, or sharing lunch. Everyone is very patient, no one shouts or looses their patience - even when the boatmen have disappeared into the jungle hunting when we're ready to move!
They are loading the ATVs. More to come when we get home, with photos!
