Bighorn Memories

We just wrapped up our annual trip to the Bighorn with two great groups of anglers. The tricos went on every morning for both weeks. After a season of high water, the flows from the Yellowtail Reservoir dropped, thus the river dropped and we had perfect water flows. The consistency of this river and the fishing it provides anglers is simply amazing. We hope you enjoy a few photos from the trip.

Pro Tips from Orvis

In a recent article, Phil Monahan from Orvis talks to us about low riding terrestrials. These land born insects will be good patterns to use until late October (here in the northeast) when a hard frost will end the terrestrial season. We have always used low-riding flies in caddis, beetles, hopper, and parachute patterns and feature them in our online store, Phil offers up some interesting thoughts and good reasons for choosing this type of fly. Food for thought, for sure.
